GUIDE LINES FOR PASSPORT APPLICANTS
Applicants, guarantors and witnesses are to note that the making of a false statement for the purpose of procuring a passport is an offence under section 15 of the passport and travel certificate decree (NLCD 155, 1967) of the republic of Ghana.
Where it is not possible to prosecute such persons in a criminal court because they live outside Ghana, such persons shall be disqualified from holding or acquiring a Ghana passport, and any passport already issued to them shall be withdrawn and confiscated. They may also be arrested and dealt with under Ghana’s law anytime they attempt to enter Ghana.
Working Hours
Passport application forms can be obtained from and must be presented to the Consular Section of the Embassy from Sunday to Tuesday between 10:00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m.
Children Travelling on Parents' Passports
Applicants should submit four (4) passport-sized pictures. The name and dates of birth of the children should be entered at the appropriate section of the application form of the accompanying parent. Separate fees are payable in respect of children.
The Embassy is open to the general public between 09hrs to 15:30hrs from Sunday - Thursday.
